Navajo Name---T'iistsoh sikaad (Spreading of Large Cottonwood) Ya'atee

Tiis Tsoh Sikaad Chapter

Tiis Tsoh Sikaad, in Navajo, means "spreading of large cottonwood tree". The name, Burnham, was given after a Mormon Trader who built the first trading post in the area in 1934. The first chapter house was built in 1960 and the first Navajo Tribal Council Delegate was Don Gleason.

The Tiis Tsoh Sikaad Chapter conducts meetings monthly to keep residents informed; residents have a forum to express their opinions to their Navajo Nation Council Delegate or to decide on matters concerning their chapter.

Upcoming Chapter Meetings:
  • Planning Meeting - May 05, 2008 @ 4:00 pm
  • Regular Meeting - May 09, 2008 @ 1:00 pm
  • District 13 Grazing Meeting - May 06, 2008 @ 1:00 pm Nenahnezad
